Obama and Such

Obama's recovery plan seen lifting stocks in 2009

From its October 2007 record, it has fallen about 42 percent, but from the recent bear market low of November 20 it has gained approximately 21 percent, thanks in part to huge planned government spending for early next year.

We are still going to be in a bad situation. But Obamas plan will help. It is putting confidence back into our economy keeping the money in the system.

This will be the first annual loss in six years.
Hopefully the effectiveness of the bailout is not questioned.

Canada

Canada has now lowered its rates by 3 full percentage points since December 2007.

The Bank of Canada unexpectedly cut its key interest rate on Tuesday by three-quarters of a percentage point to a 50-year low of 1.50 percent and declared the Canadian economy to be in a recession.

It looks like the economy problem is hitting the world at full effect.

Russian Skinheads

Seven members of a Russian skinhead gang have been convicted in a string of racially motivated slayings and attacks.

They were the age range from 15-18 They killed 20 migrant workers

The suspects formed an organized group for killing natives of Asian and Caucasian republics of the former Soviet Union under the influence of ideas of the exclusiveness of ethnic Russians spread by various illegal youth organizations," the prosecution said.

Climate

Remeber when Al Gore made that movie, and everyone got real cought up on Global warming and Climate change! It seemed to be the most important topic of them all when it came to politics and new lifestyle. But that soon dissapeared with the terrible economy rapidly changing for the worse, and the realization that we are still in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Well, that idea came back soon.
And it came from a country that well, we are in a large dept too.
According to Bloomberg.com
China, India Want More Commitment From Obama on Climate Change

Obama’s position on climate change is still “something positive” compared with the stance of President George W. Bush, Su said. Bush, who never endorsed the existing climate protection treaty, the Kyoto Protocol, set a goal on April 16 for the U.S. to stop the growth of greenhouse gas emissions by 2025.

Hospital stay ends for Barbara Bush

Former first lady Barbara Bush was discharged from The Methodist Hospital on Tuesday, a little less than a week after undergoing surgery to repair a perforated ulcer that her husband characterized as causing "extraordinary agony."

She is 83 years old and suprisingly is in great condition!
"Barb's feeling much, much better," Bush said. "I'll be glad to get her home."

Bush has had two hip replacement surgeries and back surgery and has battled arthritis.

3rd party Decline or Rise

As we have seen, in the past election the same two parties were the same two parties everyone knew they would be.
Democratic and Republican
But what about the others?
The libertarians?
The Communists?
Did they decline? Or is it there time now?

I think we will see the third parties start to rise during the 2008-2012 term.

Many Republicans will realize that Obama will appear to rule fairly conservative and be happy with their views on politics, and the two party system. Since a republican party is not in office, they will not re-judge their own party, and therefore will not fade away from their original beliefs.

Obama is not the far left democratic that many people saw him to be. Instead he is a conservative leader looking for change, but doing the minimum. Most of the democrats and individuals will start to fade away from Obama and the democratic party.
Millions of people will not get the help they were promised, there will not be as many lend-outs as Obama said there would be.
Hopefully this will bring another party into question, because the past 8 years of leadership was not effective. If the next 4 years is waste, then we need to realize that there needs to be a new party, new ideas, New LAWS and real change, not just the promise of change.

Moving

I have decided I want to move out of the country as soon as possible.

I was raised overseas for some time, and My brother was born in Hong Kong
My sister has moved out of the United States already and I doubt she will ever return to live here.

I too want to leave the country However I do not know what I want to do, and where I want to go.

Ideally I would like to do business and just travel around the world. However I doubt that will just happen.
I think I have decided that for A SHORT time, I am going to teach english abroad.
If given the chance I would take a job to leave this country really fast.

There are some places that I would love to live, and travel to.

Mainly, eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.
I want to go teach english in Ukraine, Poland and Estonia!
Those are not common places for an English Teacher.
Mostly everyone who lives there speaks more languages that I even know how to say Hello in.

Which is why I also want to move to South East Asia.
English is a common language in South East Asia and there are countless places I would love to live.
Whether I go to Hong Kong, or the rural island of Indonesia I do not care
I just want to leave!

No more tourism for Thailand

With the protests going on, in the airports in thailand
thousands of tourists can no longer enter- or exit the country.

Anyone who had a planned trip there by commercial airlines is stuck in the airport, waiting for the non existing flights.
As well and anyone who is trying to leave the airport.
Usually thousands come to the Kingdom to visit the country- but that will quickly change.

"I'm afraid the image of stability and security, especially in terms of travellers and the overall political climate, will be negative for some time to come," said international relations specialist Panitan Wattanayagorn.

The most immediate impact will be on tourism, with 30,000 travellers estimated to be prevented from flying out every day and countries around the world urging citizens to stay away from Thailand.

This will be devastating for a country where tourism revenue accounts for six percent of gross domestic product. Last year 14.8 million tourists visited the kingdom.

A state industry body has said Thailand is losing seven million dollars a day in tourism revenue, while Ammara estimated tourist numbers could drop by 3.5 million from projected numbers if turmoil lasts through to December.

Thanksgiving

Hope you had a great thanksgiving and great holiday weekend

-what I want to talk about is the deaths that happened on black friday
I hope that they rest in peace and the families are comforted by everyones prayers

Jdimytai Damour, a employe for walmart past away on friday.

He was trampled when waiting to open the door for thousands of customers waiting outside, the door was forced open a few minutes early and shortly Mr. Damour soon was trampled to death.

One man is saying --Every identifiable shopper on the surveillance cameras who ran through those doors at 4:55 a.m. should be charged as an accessory to murder, arrested, booked, and scheduled for trial... on Friday, November 27, 2009. Hold the trial at Shea Stadium, require every defendant to check in by 5 a.m. Require each one testify publicly, on the Jumbotron, just what consumer product was so important that they had to kill a man to get it. No one leaves until every defendant has testified. Then dismiss the charges. We probably cannot gather sufficient evidence to establish the direct culpability of any one person, and our legal system isn't built to punish crowds. This public shaming and the denial of their precious shopping privileges next Black Friday is perhaps the best we can manage.
What happened was terrible and is another thing Walmart needs to deal with.
